Definitions

• Referrer is a person who recommends a potential candidate to Atlantis Medical i.e. Biomedical Scientist, Nurse, Theatre Nurse, Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Radiographer and/or Speech and Language Therapist. 

• Referee is a person who has not previously worked for Atlantis Medical and is referred by their Referrer.

• Referral Bonus is a payment to the Referrer.

• Qualifying criteria is the criteria that must be met by the Referee and Referrer.

• Compliance. Under the guidelines of Recruitment and Employment Confederation Best Practice Guidelines, Atlantis Medical must do checks on referred candidates prior to them commencing work. These include: right to work, proof of identity, DBS standard or enhanced disclosure, occupational health and immunity, professional registration, specific training, competency interview, work history, references, professional and educational certificates.

• Once a candidate’s file gets signed off, she or he is eligible to work.

Qualifying Criteria

• For a referral to qualify it must be submitted to an Atlantis Medical employee via email, the online form on the Atlantis Medical website or directly made via a telephone call to the consultant. The referral must include the Referee’s name, profession and contact details (phone number & email address). The outcome of the recommendation will be for the relevant consultant to contact the Referee with the intention of securing them work engagements.

• For a recommendation to qualify, the Referee must be qualified in one of the following disciplines: Biomedical Science, Nursing, Theatres, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiology and Speech and Language Therapy. 

• The Referral Bonus will be payable once the Referee has worked 250 hours with Atlantis Medical within the first three months of their first shift after becoming Compliant and once those hours have been authorised and accepted by Atlantis Medical’s clients.

Referral Bonus payment

• The Referrer is entitled to claim the gross amount of £250 once the Qualifying Criteria have been met by both the Referee and Referrer.

• It is the responsibility of the Referrer to claim their Referral Bonus Payment no later than three months after the Referee has completed the required hours by contacting their consultant or compliance officer.

• The Bonus payment is made to the Referrer once the Referee has met the Qualifying Criteria and the Referrer has requested payment. All Referral Bonuses are taxable.

• In order to receive the money, the referrer must be registered with an umbrella company or a limited company.

General terms

• Atlantis Medical reserves the right to reject a Referral Bonus payment request if:

(a) the Referee or Referral have not met the Qualifying Criteria;

(b) Atlantis Medical sees fit to do so due to any other reason or circumstance that they deem justified.

Atlantis Medical Ltd reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of the Referral Scheme at its absolute discretion and/or cancel or discontinue the Scheme without having to pay any outstanding claims, introduce a replacement scheme or offer compensation.
