My client based in Derby is looking for an experienced Band 4/5/6 Histology Biomedical Scientist for a locum contract, starting as soon as possible.

The Role:

• Mon - Fri
• 0900 - 1700
• 37.5 hrs p/w
• The primary task within this role is Microtomy - so an ability to section at a minimum an average of 30 blocks per hour including more complex blocks such as levels and cores is essential.
• This role requires a reasonable level of laboratory experience

Requirements:

• HCPC Registered as a Biomedical Scientist (Band 5/6)
• Embedding
• Microtomy: 30 Blocks/Hour Minimum
• Histology microscopic QC (H&E, IHC, specials)
• Performing special stains
